• Between 1968-1989 he worked at the Technical Institute of Georgia as a Senior preparator, assistent, Senior assistent, Senior lecturer, Deputy Chairman of the trade union committee, associate professor. Proffesor of the sub-faculty of Politology and international relations at the Technical University of Georgia.
• Between 1977–1979 he worked at the Tbilisi City Committee of People’s Control, as chairperson of the methodology seminar.
• Between 1989-1992 He worked for the Popular Front, as head of the Department, assistant for the Chairman.
• From March 1992 to December 1992 – as Responsible Secretary of the Special Governmental Commission on Tskhinvali Region Problems at the Cabinet of Ministers of Georgia.
• Between 1992-1996 he was Head of the Service of Control of the tasks assigned by the President and relations with State management bodies, Chief State Advisor.
• In 1996-2004 – He worked at of the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia as a Head Of the Information–Analytical Service; the Director of Department of Monitoring, Analysis Security and Information; Chief of the Information Analysis Department.
• Between 2005–2008 he is the Chief of Division Coordination of Govermental special Communications and Information Agency of Georgia.

Except Georgian Technical University, in 1998-2003 had lectures at the sub-faculty of politology in the Tbilisi State University.

Between 1996-2001 He was the State representative from Georgia in the Informatization Coordinating Council of participant states of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

At the National Security Council of Georgia he created the system of strategic analysis and global modeling “Didgori”, the program “Aisi” for analysis and prognosis of political events with the help of polymeric method.

Between 1965-1968 He served at the obligatory military service. He participated in the struggle for the territorial integrity of Georgia; was the leader of the volunteer division of “Ayety”.His military rank is vice-colonel.

For his thinking, dissident inclination, spreading the illegal literature Mr. Kuprashvili has got a warning from the State Security Committee (KGB) of the USSR first in 1967 during the military service, and for the second time in 1975, while working at the Technical Institute of Georgia.

The main points of his public activities are: Founder/Chairman of the Union The Saint David the builder’s union of Chokhawearers of Georgia – “Chokhawearers 1973” (the initiators were G. TSKHOVREBADZE, Z. GVELESIANI and T. SHEROZIA). This union was formed in 1973 on the commemoration of 900 year of David, the builder. He is the initiator of the Seaside Guardians Association of “Ayety” and the Chairman till today. Mr. KUPRASHVILI is the President of the “Human Dophin’s” Club. He is Member of the Journalists Union.

In 1989 He was elected as the Chairman of the defenders of the nation’s honor (till 1991); He was elected as the member of the Popular Front’s court of Georgia

He has been awarded a medal for “Courage”(1993) and the Order of Vakhtang Gorgasali Second Class (2002).

In 2003 by the Order of the President of Georgia Him was given the rank of First Class State Advisor.

By the newspaper “Akhali epoqa” Mr. Kuprashvili was announced as the winner in nomination – “The person of 2002”

International Society of Byron has awarded him a golden medal of G. BYRON.

Grandfather, Luka KUPRASHVILI (was born in 1896,Tkibuli region, village Tsutskhvati), died in 1924, while the rebellion of Georgians against Bolshevik Russia. Father, Otar KUPRASHVILI (1924-1974) – worked as the commissioner of State Philharmonia. Mother, Nora LAPIASHVILI was born in 1925 in Mirzaani.

Wife, Ludmila KOVALETS-KUPRASHVILI was born in 1959 in Chernigov region, Repki (Ukraine).
